Privacy policy
This explains what personal data Lupr collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we only collect what we need to arrange a call and reply to you, we don’t sell it, and the site doesn’t use tracking cookies.
Who we are
Lupr is run by Ken Duffield in the UK. In this policy “Lupr”, “we” and “us” mean Ken Duffield, trading as Lupr. We are the controller of the personal data described here. For anything privacy-related, email ken@lupr.io.
What we collect
When you book a call
Bookings are handled by Cal.com. We receive your name, email address, the time you chose and anything you write in the booking form. The booking is also added to our calendar.
When you email us
Your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us.
When you visit the site
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, the site you came from, your country, and your device and browser type. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t tell us who you are. Our hosting provider, Vercel, also keeps short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To arrange, prepare for and hold the call you booked, and to follow up on it.
- To reply to your emails.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful, so we can improve it.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the business and responding to enquiries, or, where you’re asking about working with us, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask, and we never sell your data.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of providers to run the site and the business. They process data on our behalf:
- Cal.com — call bookings
- Google Workspace — email and calendar
- Vercel — website hosting and analytics
Some of these providers store data outside the UK, including in the US. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. We only share data with anyone else if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Booking and email records are kept for up to two years after we were last in touch, then deleted. If you become a client, we keep what we need for the work and for legal and accounting purposes, usually six years. Analytics data is only kept in aggregate.
Cookies
This site doesn’t set cookies for analytics or advertising. If you open the booking window, Cal.com loads inside it and may use cookies that the booking needs in order to work.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to us using it, or send it to you or someone else in a portable format. Email ken@lupr.io and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
